The Ghana-Burkina Faso railway connectivity project is progressing as planned, according to the Minister for Railways Development, Peter Amewu. The railway, starting from Mpakadan and extending over 1000 kilometers to Ouagadougou, is expected to be completed by November and will pass through key towns in both Ghana and Burkina Faso. The project aims to enhance socio-economic growth by facilitating the transport of goods and passengers, and it has gained importance with the discovery of mineral resources in the region. Both governments remain committed to the project, which is seen as economically beneficial by Vincent Dabilgou, Burkina Faso's Minister for Transport, Urban Mobility and Road Safety.
