Amy Kazmin

Amy Kazmin is the Financial Times' New Delhi-based South Asia bureau chief. An award winning correspondent, she has been covering affairs in India, and the wider South Asia region, since 2008. Previously, she was based in Bangkok, where she spent eight years reporting on Thailand and Indochina (Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos) for the FT. Ms Kazmin was educated at UC Berkeley, where she obtained a degree in history, and the London School of Economics, where she received a master's degree in economic history.  She has been a guest on many broadcast programs, including the BBC, CNN, and CBC, and also appears regularly on Indian television news debates. Her awards including numerous the Human Rights Reporting Award, the Work Foundation Feature writer of the year, and numerous citations from the Society of Publishers of Asia.
