Dean Bernardo

A broadcast journalist with twenty five years of professional experience in the field of broadcast operations first as a writer-producer for network television news. Rapidly stepped up in the ranks into production, newsgathering, planning day-to-day operations and handling administrative matters. On the side, participated in corporate & public policy research, communications and information dissemination. 

The years of experience also resulted in the development of crafting effective responses & actions in handling crisis issues in government and corporate and in a set-up; developing & writing  for research papers, managing computers; to web development and social media.
Educated in the field of political science and in Southeast Asian history. 

Worked as a freelance journalist as the Philippine correspondent for Global Radio News ( since 2003, filling live reports for Fox News, CBC, RTE, SBS Australia, ITN and France 24. Fixed and served as local producer for AETN History Channel, Discovery Channel and Fox News.

From 2010 to 2013, served as writer and policy analyst for the Secretary of National Defense and served as Chief for the Social Media Services for the Philippines’s Department of National Defense.

From 2013, joined the Philippine Broadcasting Service, the state-owned national radio network as an anchor for the Business Radio 104.3fm and in-charge of the social media services and production for the English news service.
