Mellissa Fung is a freelance journalist based in London, United Kingdom. After a 20 year career at the CBC in television news, long form reporting, and radio, she is now contributing to various news organisations, including the Toronto Star and the Huffington Post. She's currently co-directing a feature documentary on Boko Haram. Her first book, "Under an Afghan Sky," was a best-seller in her native Canada, and has been published in several other countries.
