Covid-19: Ghana Government Evacuates Stranded Ghanaians

The Government of Ghana is from today May 23 evacuating its citizens stranded in foreign countries back to Ghana. The evacuation starts with some 245 Ghanaians who are illegally living in Kuwait.

Ghana government granted a special request to the Government of Kuwait to deport these Ghanaians.
Upon arrival, they will be quarantined and attended to under strict supervision at the cost of government.

Other Ghanaians stranded in other countries will be handled at a case by case level according to the Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
