Health practitioner's alleggedly milks the budget through malpractices

Eastern Cape Province Health Department in South Africa suffered a big financial loss due to the claims filed by the patients and their families following malpractice allegedly committed by their health practitioners while attending to the patients in hospital. Over billion rands were paid to legal claims. Also millions paid to the State Attorney. The department has took drastic measures to curb that loss and implement a new approach to meet the health standards set by the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
