Home for homosexual refugees

Roma, Italy Current Affairs February 21 @ 1:32pm

Amongst the tens of thousands of refugees that reach Italian shores every year (more than 180 thousand in in 2016) there also homosexuals, who don't feel safe in the refugee centers. In those centers they often find the same mentality and, sometimes even, violence as they faced in the country they fled from. To avoid these situations, the city of Modena (central Italy) opened a shelter especially for homosexual refugees, in a normal apartment in a normal building in a normal street in Modena. Until there is room for only six people, but the idea is to open more of these apartments.
