Medugorje - Catholic pilgrimage tourism loss due to Pope

Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina Current Affairs February 21 @ 3:34pm

Medjugorje is wel known catholic pilgrimage site in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina that attracts roughly million tourists per year. But Vatican never recognized it as a religious site and place of worship. Due to comments made by current Pope, number of tourists, especially Italians, has significantly dropped, some italian travel agencies already closed their doors and it seems tourism honeymoon for this small village, where they claim one women saw a Virgin Mary years ago, is coming to an end.
