Moussa Castle: A single-handed miracle

Beirut, Lebanon Film & Theatre, Cultural April 2 @ 11:26am

When Moussa's teacher asked him to draw his dream, he sketched a castle. The teacher ripped the drawing into pieces and told him he was good for nothing. Having been mocked by his teacher, friends and girlfriend, Moussa was determined to prove everyone wrong. Over 21,900 days, Moussa completed with his own bare hands the construction of what is now a glorious monument in the heart of Lebanon's mountain, decorating the interior of the building with wax figures depicting his memories- including that stark memory of him being beaten by his teacher. This year, 2017, marks half a century since Moussa laid the first foundation of the castle.
