BBOG: Chibok girls 5 years on

Abuja, Nigeria Current Affairs March 11 @ 1:22am

Following the kidnap of 296 girls by gunmen on the 14th of April, 2014, from the Government Secondary School, Chibok in Nigeria’s north east, the group Bring Back Our Girls was formed by Aisha Yesufu and Obiageli Ezekwesili. 4 years later, despite several bouts of advocacy and protests by the group, many of the girls have not been rescued despite assurances by 2 Nigerian Presidents so far.
Have the girls been forgotten by BBOG and even the Nigerian government?
Treatment: I intend to interview the founders of the group, BBOG , Aisha Yesufu and Obiageli Ezekwesili. I intend to ask them about the objectives behind setting up the group. I also want to ask if those objectives have been met. I will also ask the Nigerian authorities why the girls have not been rescued after 5 years.
NB- I can do this story for radio, tv or digital.
