Fika as the Swedes do!

Stockholm, Sweden Food & Drink, Social, Cultural May 10 @ 2:51pm

A most curious & inescapable tradition in the life of any one living in Sweden is the Fika, a moment of getting together with friends or family, often repeated several times a day. The fika must have a dark roasted Swedish coffee and cinnamon buns, but can also have a variety of other food indulgences - including a shrimp cake! In an otherwise alienated and individualistic Swedish society, the fika is a moment when the guards are down and social engagement is both necessary and appropriate. This video feature explores the fika from its various facets - food, culture & psychology!
