I am a bilingual, Cuban-American video journalist and producer with extensive experience covering Latin America. Over the last 8 years I have worked producing, shooting and editing original content, as well many of the biggest breaking news stories in the region.

Juan Jacomino Castellano – Born in Havana Cuba on 14 December 1957. Juan has been a journalist for over 20 years. Juan is fully accredited by the Havana International Press Center as GRNLive correspondent in Cuba. For the past 20 years Juan has collaborated as a radio and television journalist for Read morenumerous media including CBC of Canada, Aljazeera English, National Public Radio, BBC, France 24 and others. He has traveled on international coverages to Europe and Latin America. Until 2015 he served as press liaison at the then Cuban Interest Section in Washington DC. Before that he was news director of the national radio network Radio Rebelde, and has also worked for Radio Habana, the international radio of Cuba, where he is currently the Editor in Chief for its English programming. Juan graduated with a degree in Linguistics and Literature from the University of Dar-es-Saalam in Tanzania. He is also the holder of two journalism diplomas, one of them from the Jose Marti International Journalism Institute of Havana.

His years of work in both Havana and Washington turn Juan into a professional uniquely suited to provide a informed perspective of Cuba-U.S. affairs.
