I am Adolf Kaure, a freelance journalist from Swakopmund, Namibia. I have media experience in print, video, radio as well as photography spanning over nine years. Besides the vast experience, I am qualified in this field having acquired my Bachelors (Honours) of Media and English Studies from the University of Namibia (UNAM) in 2016. This is a qualification which is accredited by the Namibian local qualifications authority, Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) on level 8. I started my journey in the media industry as a station manager for UNAM Radio (a campus radio station where I studied) from April 2014, serving in this part time role until May 2015. After interning at various media companies like Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) National Radio, Windhoek Observer and 99fm as a radio presenter, print journalist as well as a voice over artist in 2015, I embarked on a journey to work on television. This journey commenced in February 2016, as I became a full-time economics reporter and video producer for One Africa Television's daily prime time news bulletin known as Today on One. After the company recorded losses and retrenched the news team at December 2016. However, during April 2017, an opportunity to return to print media presented itself to me, which I dully accepted. It was during this time that I started working for Namibia Media Holdings' (NMH) coastal publication known as Erongo 24/7. For Erongo 24/7 along with NMH sister publications, I covered a wide range of beats like current affairs, sports, economics, education and others. Here I worked until December 2021, when I resigned to find a new challnege. I have been freelancer ever since, on this new quest and challenge to provide news to a wider audience, particularly an international audience, so that they may also get to know the Swakopmund story, the Namibian story and the African story.
