Ainash Chengelbayeva is a journalist based in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. Strategic communications / public relations professional with experience of working with global teams and driving integrated reputational and communications initiatives. I've been the leader of media relations and corporate communications for McKinsey & Company in Kazakhstan, a leading management consulting firm operating in more than 65 countries. Before McKinsey I spent more than 7 years with major oil & gas consortium that develops one of the largest oilfield in the world, looking after their external image and reputation. Earlier I was a journalist at Khabar TV Agency, the leading national TV in the country, worked about 8 years in Almaty, Nur-Sultan and Moscow. I have a MA in Journalism from the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia). Originally involved in television (broadcasting) journalism since 2004. Field reporting experience on Kazakhstan Television Khabar TV Agency, the state broadcaster of Kazakhstan, from 2004 to 2011. Also I help foreign TV crews and media outlets as a fixer on the ground in the country.
