Education officials and security officers confiscated 29 mobile phones at a school in Dadaab, Garissa County, as the 2022 KCSE examinations began. Kenya National Examinations Council CEO Dr. David Nyeng'ere stated that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations is investigating the incident, and those responsible will face consequences. The issue was attributed to inadequate frisking by invigilators. Measures have been implemented to prevent malpractices, including opening examination containers at 7am and maintaining security throughout the day.
