With cyber security, there is no such thing as adequate cover

25 Oct 2023  |  gulfnews.com
Cyber insurance is not a foolproof solution for cyberattacks, as paying ransoms often fails to guarantee data recovery and can lead to repeat attacks. Cyber insurance policies typically do not cover all costs associated with an attack, such as data recovery and brand reputation restoration. Investing in cyber resilience, which includes anticipating, protecting against, withstanding, and recovering from cyberattacks, is crucial. A comprehensive approach involving both public and private sectors is necessary to defend against and recover from cyber incidents.

Metabarcoding of Antarctic Lichens from Areas with Different Deglaciation Times Reveals a High Diversity of Lichen-Associated Communities

29 Apr 2023  |  MDPI
The study uses a metabarcoding approach to analyze lichen-associated communities in Antarctic regions with varying deglaciation times. It reveals a higher diversity of eukaryotes in areas with longer deglaciation periods and identifies specific patterns of organism association with different lichen species. The research highlights the need to expand DNA barcode libraries and suggests that environmental factors significantly influence lichen holobiont formation.

Exercise-Based Strategies to Prevent Muscle Injury in Male Elite Footballers: An Expert-Led Delphi Survey of 21 Practitioners Belonging to 18 Teams from the Big-5 European Leagues

01 Jan 2020  |  link.springer.com
Injuries, particularly muscle injuries, significantly impact male elite football teams, correlating with lower league rankings and high financial costs. Preventive strategies, especially exercise-based ones, are crucial but lack high-quality evidence specific to elite male footballers. A Delphi survey involving 21 practitioners from 18 elite European teams identified sprinting, high-speed running, and eccentric exercises as effective strategies. The survey highlighted the need for individualized and integrated training approaches, emphasizing the importance of combining exercise-based strategies with other preventive measures like load management and recovery strategies. Despite some consensus, the study underscores the necessity for further high-quality research to validate these practices.
