This radio package aims to raise awareness of fistula and possible remedies to those affected by it. A program supported by the UNFPA launched a campaign to support those with fistula to have a free operation. At the time of this story, many women had access to the needed information and many affected patients were able to successfully undergo surgeries.
This was a radio package I produced in 2017. Until today, access to pure and safe drinking water has continued to be a challenge for many people in Juba City. Residents have continued to pay high prices for water supply even though a city council order is meant to regulate water tanker suppliers. This story was meant to amplify voices of those who were more affected by the deprivation of the most needed basic service.
