Citizens of Prijedor are in a state of uncertainty after 1,342 Sputnik V vaccines for revaccination spoiled due to a power outage. The revaccination process has been halted, and the public is awaiting information on when it will resume. The local health institution, Dom zdravlja Prijedor, has not provided a new date for the continuation of vaccinations. An investigation has been opened by the Okružno javno tužilaštvo in Prijedor against the acting director of Dom zdravlja Prijedor, Slobodan Javor, and the head of the Hygiene and Epidemiology Service, Milica Otković, regarding the incident. Branislav Zeljković from the Institute for Public Health previously stated that he expects the revaccination to continue this week.

Due to a power outage caused by a transformer station fault, the central facility of the Dom zdravlja in Prijedor experienced a failure in its refrigeration system, leading to the likely spoilage of approximately 1,360 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine intended for the second dose. The power was out from 04:55 to 06:10, and the health institution did not have an alternative power source such as a generator. The Dom zdravlja Prijedor had previously administered the first dose to 1,500 individuals over 65, with 140 having received their second dose, indicating a significant loss of vaccines due to the incident.

Goran Dakić, president of the Prijedor Caterers' Association, criticizes the COVID-19 restrictions on hospitality businesses as ineffective, noting that citizens are gathering in public spaces and traveling to the Federation of BiH where restrictions are looser. He warns of potential mass protests in Republika Srpska if businesses do not reopen by April 5th, as indicated by Prime Minister Radovan Višković. Dakić argues that the measures are nonsensical and do not control the situation, pointing out inconsistencies in mask-wearing in public institutions compared to the strict adherence by hospitality staff for a year.

Stupar was viciously murdered, sustaining severe injuries, particularly to the head. The crime scene spans approximately 100 meters as investigators seek the exact location of the murder. Stupar, known to the police for drug trafficking crimes and previously arrested in an operation named 'Kondor 1', had served two and a half years for planting explosives under the car of police inspector Goran Mikanović.
