Chhavi Sachdev is an independent radio and podcast producer and reporter. She is also one of the most experienced radio journalists in the country, reporting on India’s culture, science, environment, health and more since 2008. She started as a contractor for Radio Netherlands Worldwide’s flagship shows The State We’re In and Earthbeat, contributing also to Deutsche Welle Radio’s Living Planet, WorldLink, and Pulse, along with PRI’s The World. For the last few years, she has been primarily making pieces as well as full programmes for The BBC World Services shows CrowdScience, Health Check, Outlook, The Documentary and People Fixing the World, covering topics such as health care for factory workers in Bangladesh, recharging lakes in Bangalore, finding blind women work as tumor testers and more. Chhavi has a master’s degree in journalism from Northeastern University, is a lifetime member of the South Asian Journalists Association.
