KOYA emphasizes that the Konkomba people are peace-loving and that inciteful comments do not represent their views. The General Secretary, Elvis Poliyeh, encourages dialogue and constructive engagement with all tribes and groups on issues concerning the Konkombas. KOYA also calls on leaders, security agencies, and citizens to work together for peace and unity, and to use social media responsibly to promote mutual understanding and avoid hate speech.

Accra REGSEC hands over administration of La Pleasure Beach to 9-member committee
The Greater Accra Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has transferred the management of La Pleasure Beach to a new nine-member committee following legal action initiated by the La Dade Kotopon Youth Association. The association filed a lawsuit concerning the management and revenue accountability of the beach from 2003 to 2011, leading to the formation of an Interim Management Committee (IMC) including representatives from the GTDC, La Traditional Council, and the youth association itself. The La Dade Kotopon Municipal Security Council expressed concerns about potential unrest, prompting REGSEC's involvement to maintain order. The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) managed the beach for six months during the legal process, collecting over 2 million Ghana Cedis. After the court's decision, REGSEC handed over the beach's management to the new committee, as stated by the Chairman, Henry Quartey.
