Dimitri O'Donnell is a journalist based in Bogotá, Colombia and is a regular contributor to TRT World and BBC World Service Radio. With more than 15 years experience in radio and tv he is skilled in live two-ways, breaking news and packaging. He has recently contributed to programmes on ABC Radio Australia, France 24 and RTE Ireland. Prior to Colombia, Dimitri was based in La Paz where he was Bolivia Correspondent for the Latin American news channel teleSUR. Dimitri began his career with Newstalk Radio and TV3 News in Ireland. He later moved to the BBC in London; producing and reporting for BBC World News. He has also worked for Al Jazeera at its headquarters in Doha. Recently he has covered the Colombian landslide from Mocoa, the effects of the Venezuelan humanitarian crisis on Colombia and the peace process between Colombia's government and the FARC.
