About Ed
Hi - I’m an award-winning producer and trainer in radio, community media, podcasts and locative audio, with a background in communications, teaching and the outdoors.

Originally from Scotland, I have lived and worked in Russia, Azerbaijan and Nigeria and travelled extensively elsewhere in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. 

I’m now based in County Galway, Ireland.

I’ve produced several packages for Ireland’s RTÉ Radio 1, and field-produced/fixed on a 3-part podcast for the UK’s BBC World Service / BBC Sounds. I’ve tape-synced for Criminal (Vox Media). 

I’ve also produced radio feature documentaries, and geo-located audio walks - one of which won the international Sound Walk September prize in 2023.

In 2022 I was among those selected for the Åke Blomström Masterclass in radio documentary-making held at Prix Europa.
