Since March 31st, thousands in France have occupied public squares to express their frustration and demand government policy changes, sparked by proposed labor reforms perceived as facilitating employee dismissals and extending precarious contracts. The movement, #Nuitdebout, inspired by Spain's #15M, is characterized by its non-hierarchical organization and use of social media. Despite government concessions, such as financial aid for job-seeking graduates, the movement continues, fueled by broader social issues and dissatisfaction with the government's response to the November 2015 Paris attacks. A major protest is planned for April 28th to demand the withdrawal of the labor reform proposal.
