Parinoush Saniee's book 'The Father of the Other One', recently translated into Bulgarian by Ludmila Yanova, is the second of Saniee's works to be directly translated into Bulgarian. The book has been translated into many languages, receiving numerous awards and positive reviews. It explores the challenging identity question of the protagonist, Shabab, and his complex relationship with his father. A film adaptation by Yadollah Samadi was also successful in Iran. The Bulgarian cover is considered the most expressive among its 13 translations. Saniee's first book, 'My Share', has reached its second print in Bulgaria and has been well-received, especially for its direct translation, which provides Bulgarians access to Iranian culture. The publisher, Manol Peykov of Janet 45 Publishing, is known for his personal touch and dedication to introducing Iranian culture to Bulgaria. Yanova, a professor at the University of Sofia, is recognized for her translations and efforts to simplify complex cultural concepts, making contemporary Iranian culture more accessible.
