Farogat Armstead is a video journalist based in Washington, United States of America. Farogat worked as a broadcasting journalist for Voice of America, Uzbek Service. As a reporter, multimedia editor she has covered Central Asia and the U.S. 

She began her career at Uzbekistan’s state broadcasting company in Tashkent. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and musicology from the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. 

As of now Farogat is extending her career path into to Cyber Information Security.
