Khanyisile Molaba is a seasoned African journalist, creative entrepreneur, and storyteller with over 10 years of experience across television, radio, print, and digital media. She has held impactful roles as a news reporter, producer, editor, and broadcast researcher — including her work as a television broadcast producer for Newzroom Afrika, one of South Africa’s premier 24-hour news platforms. In 2020, Khanyisile founded Dynasty Brandworx, a 100% African youth-led creative communications agency. The company was voted one of South Africa’s Top Gender-Empowered Companies and has partnered with major institutions to provide access to digital literacy and entrepreneurship for over 5,000 youth and 200 women across Southern Africa. She is a mentor on the All4Youth Sub-Saharan Africa program, working with young women in Nigeria, South Africa, Malawi, and Namibia, and was recently appointed a mentor for the Tony Elumelu Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Program. Her early media leadership began with The Wits Radio Academy, producing a financial literacy radio series for students across universities. She also headed the media and communications committee of the Women's Empowerment Network of South Africa. The Women’s Empowerment Network of South Africa (WENOSA) enables women to create valuable networks, connect to new partnerships, and access mentorship, skills development, funding and economic opportunities. As both a changemaker and a storyteller, Khanyisile uses the media not only to report on the world — but to reimagine it and bring communities together in rebuilding it. Khanyisile Molaba is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I am an independent journalist and former prime-time producer at Newzroom Afrika, DStv Channel 405. The role entailed composing news bulletins, scripting intros and creating international and local inserts and packages. I also identified stories and topics for discussions, chose relevant or appropriate guests and sourced footage and sound bites for broadcasts.
