About Kundai
Kundai Marunya is a journalist based in Harare, Zimbabwe. He holds a Diploma in Communication and Journalism from Christian College of Southern Africa. During the course of his studies and after graduation he worked as a freelance journalist contributing articles to NewsDay, The Standard, Zimbabwe Independent, The Zimbabwean, The Public Servant, Suburban News, Flame News and The Observer.
 
Since May 2013 he has worked for a newly established community newspaper, Harare News were he diversified his coverage to sports, general news, community news, environment, health and business. In 2014 he was awarded Male Journalist of the Year at the Youth Voices Awards held by the Youth Empowerment and Transformation Trust (Yett) for his efforts in writing about young people. 

He currently freelances for Harare News while contributing content to a newly established award-wining news website www.spiked.co.zw which he  co-found. He is also part of the core team that established and generates content for ilizwi263.com, a local blog that tells stories about and affecting young Zimbabweans. In February last year he found the Zimbabwe Arts Journalists Association, which is registered by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe.
