Laura Wilshaw is a freelance journalist and producer based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. With more than ten years as a journalist and producer in the most prestigious newsrooms of Britain she has planned and delivered stories from around the world. In her career with Five, Sky and ITV she has been at the front line of some of biggest stories of the last decade. From the wars in Afghanistan and Ukraine to General Elections in the UK and the US and many others in between. She has also produced long form, current affairs documentaries for ITV, Five and Sky 1. After years leading teams in the field and in the newsroom, most recently she held a senior management position at ITV News - the UK's largest commercial, national TV newsroom overseeing the whole UK operation as Head of Home News.
