Lauren Gambino is a politics correspondent for The Guardian based in Washington D.C., where she has worked since 2017. She was previously based in New York for The Guardian, where she covered the 2016 presidential election. Prior to joining The Guardian, Lauren worked in Salem, Oregon, as a statehouse reporter for The Associated Press.
