Kyagulanyi speaks out on talks with Museveni
Robert Kyagulanyi, leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has ruled out negotiations with President Yoweri Museveni's government for the release of NUP supporters, emphasizing adherence to the rule of law. He criticized the government's alleged human rights abuses and a proposed constitutional amendment by the National Resistance Movement to change the presidential voting process. Kyagulanyi urged his supporters to continue their struggle for change and highlighted issues such as poor public services and corruption. The opposition recently walked out of Parliament in protest against the alleged torture and illegal detention of their supporters.
