In Papantla, municipal police officers were attacked by unknown assailants while patrolling a road leading to Totomoxtle. The officers returned fire, but it is currently unknown if there were any injuries or arrests. The area was cordoned off and additional law enforcement, including the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP), Fuerza Civil, and the National Guard, arrived on the scene. A helicopter was also present. Authorities, including the Veracruz State Prosecutor's Office and the Ministerial Police, are expected to conduct an investigation and provide further information.

Pakistan national detained in Vitoria for jihadism linked to a radical party is expelled

Fourteen individuals were arrested on November 6th in various Spanish cities for activities linked to radical ideologies and posing a serious threat to public security. They were not associated with jihadist groups like DAESH or Al Qaeda but held a very intransigent and rigorous interpretation of religion. They praised violence and terrorist actions on social media. Following their arrest, they were detained by order of National Court judge Joaquín Gadea at a Foreigners' Internment Center (CIE) for deportation to Pakistan. The police conducted the deportation under the Foreigners' Law due to their involvement in activities contrary to National Security.

On Monday, residents of Vitoria-Gasteiz were surprised to find the tram stops' Bat or Barik card readers denying payments and electronic panels displaying time and destination inoperative. Many turned back upon encountering these issues, leaving stops like Parlamento, Sancho el Sabio, Europa, Honduras, and Intermodal deserted. Public sector workers, cleaners, and tram security guards were seen explaining the situation to potential passengers. The disruption mainly affected students and workers, with one student expressing frustration at having to walk to university due to the tram service outage.
