About Maradia

Maradia Tsaava is a freelance journalist and a documentary filmmaker working with different local and international media organizations, and representing Georgian production company OpyoDoc. 

Maradia has been writing stories for JAMnews Georgian, Institute for War and Peace Reporting, Chaikhana Media, and is currently working on Spheres of Influence Uncovered project implemented by N-ost. She has the experience of working as a local fixer journalist for The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Al Jazeera, Nikeei Asia and etc. 

Maradia has made two documentary films: Water Has No Borders, a feature documentary premiered at DOK Leipzig International Competition in 2021 and short documentary Dreamland, winning the best short documentary competition at CinéDoc Tbilisi 2023.
