Melkamu Abebe is a journalist based in Ambo, Ethiopia. He is working for VOA Horn Service since December 2018 as Horn Stringer in Afan Oromo and Amharic languages. He had been working for Ethiopian News Agency for about two years as a reporter and Producer. And he had an experience of FM and AM radio stations journalist for Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) and Nekemte Fana FM 96.1 for more than 4 years. And He was also working on his own infotainment radio radio show called "Cumboo", the meaning is a pleasant cultural food that is well known among Oromo People, specially in the Western part of Oromia and Ethiopia. He was an amatuer radio program producer on local educational radio station.
