Mohamed Ahmed – Freelance Journalist | Multimedia Producer I’m a Sudanese freelance journalist, multimedia producer, and refugee based in Kampala, Uganda, with over six years of experience. I report on conflict, displacement, and human rights in Sudan and East Africa, blending investigative journalism with powerful visual storytelling rooted in lived experience. My work has been featured in Farida Feminist Magazine, Sudan Tomorrow, Droob Electronic Newspaper, and Ajraas Al Hamish. I collaborate with Art Lab Sudan to produce creative content that supports and empowers refugee youth through the arts. I also contribute to Ejab for Arab Media and Space — a platform dedicated to exploring urban life and informal settlements through writing that challenges conventional academic perspectives on architecture and space. As a refugee journalist, I strive to center the voices of marginalized communities and bring nuanced, human-centered narratives to the forefront. I am fluent in Arabic and English, and available for reporting, photojournalism, and documentary assignments in Sudanese, refugee, and East African contexts.
