Omid Habibinia, an Iranian dissident and journalist, has a background in Media, Clinical Psychology, and Global Studies. He founded the International Association of Iranian Journalists in 2010 and has been active in journalism since 1990. Initially working for Iranian state media, he secretly contributed to BBC Persian and opposition groups, and produced an underground film on Iran's youth uprising. His activities were discovered by the Iranian government, leading to an attempted arrest, but he managed to flee to Switzerland.
