Our Town Reno: Former Addict Now Inspires Others

Grant Denton, a peer recovery specialist at the Life Change Center in Reno, overcame a troubled childhood and severe addiction to become an inspiring figure for others. After years of substance abuse and homelessness in Las Vegas, Denton has been sober since 2014 and now helps addicts through the Spartans volunteer program, which integrates them back into the community. Denton believes his past struggles were necessary for him to inspire others today.
