Joyclyn is an Investigative Reporter,  senior reporting fellow of New Narratives, and a fact-checker. She has more than six years of experience in daily journalism. Joyclyn has bylines with New Narratives, International Women Media Foundation, Frontpage Africa, the Stage Media-Liberia, New Republic, Liberian Observer, etc. Joyclyn is an inspiration to many young people and has guided her younger professionals and equipped them to stay afloat professionally. Joyclyn has participated in many specialized training programs and fellowships organized by local and international organizations, including the Norgwian Foundation for Investigative Journalism, New Narratives, Journalist for Human Rights, IWMF/NDI, National Radio and Television Administration of the People's Republic of China, and Internews among others. These different professional development training programs have helped to reshape her professional focus and path. They’ve also reawakened her passion and desire for more investigative reporting focused on good governance, accountability, and transparency, the rule of law, the Environment, women’s rights, Persons with Disability, elections, Sexual Reproductive Health, and Rights, vulnerable populations, and women in politics. In June 2024, Joyclyn won the Swedish Government’s Investigative Journalism Award for her excellent reporting and bravery over the years.
