Raïssa Girondin is a media consultant and freelance journalist specialist in African issues, based in Washington whose expertise covers television, print media and radio.  
As a TV and Radio Anchor at the Voice of America, she anchored for “The Washington Forum”, a weekly TV debate show which provides in-depth analysis of current issues in Africa, the U.S and the world. Prior to that,  she was the Beijing TV News Anchor for the  Chinese state broadcaster China Global Television Network (CGTN). Raïssa won the News Anchor of The Year Award for her reports on “the growing Sino-African relations” in 2014. Her career began in Paris, with the French media group Lagardère as a Communication Manager, and later evolved as a contributor for with Amina magazine devoted to African women. 
She is fluent in French and English, with notions of Mandarin.
