Sabra Ayres is a contributing correspondent covering the Ukrainian conflict for the Christian Science Monitor, Al Jazeera America, Los Angeles Times and other publications. During a career that spans 15 years, she has reported on conflict, corruption and politics from Afghanistan, the former Soviet Union and India. Her articles have appeared in The Guardian, Columbia Journalism Review, The New Republic, International Herald Tribune and other publications. She previously was the state capital reporter for the Anchorage Daily News, where she covered a then unknown Gov. Sarah Palin. Sabra was a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine from 1995-97.
