With over 20 years of experience as a journalist, she has worked as a field reporter, presenter, and held senior editorial positions in esteemed organizations such as BBC World Service. Throughout her career, she has covered war, terrorism and conflicts, interviewed high-profile leaders and reported on historic events in the region, including the signing of the Doha Agreement between the Afghan Taliban and the United States, the fall of Kabul into Taliban control, military operations in tribal areas, and the struggles of women in conflict zones. Sarah's main areas of interest include economics and trade wars, geopolitics, and human rights. She is a certified journalist from the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, and was a Stanford Fellow at the Innovation Center for Journalism, where she learned digital and social media techniques for impactful journalism. During her time at Stanford, she developed citizen journalism models based on newsroom structures back in 2009, a concept that has since gained popularity in media organizations.
