During the summer of 2023, I worked at the international desk of French daily newspaper Libération. As part of coverage of global heatwaves, I wrote this feature about the reasons of the longterm drought in Iraq.
As part of my work as a podcast producer for AFP's daily news podcast, I produced this profile of French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura in the lead-up to the 2024 Paris Olympics (she was then foreseen to be a headliner for the Opening Ceremony). In this project I discussed both her musical identity and her icon status, through a gender and race lens.
