Previously i worked with other 3 television channels as reporter, also i have nearly four years of work experience with BBC Bengali Service as a freelancer. And i am in the journalism field since 2003. 

I have graduated from University of Dhaka in Mass Communication & Journalism. For professional excellence and accuracy i have got few prestigious awards including UNESCO Investigation Award, UNDP supported 'Disaster Management Bureau Media Award' from Bangladesh.

Rana Plaza, an nine-story commercial building, collapsed in Savar, a sub-district in the Greater Dhaka Area, the capital of Bangladesh. The search for the dead ended on 13 May with the death toll of 1,135. Approximately 2,515 injured people were rescued from the building alive. It is considered to be the deadliest garment-factory accident in history, as well as the deadliest accidental structural failure in modern human history. Shahed Alam was there 24/7 for 6 days and covered investigative lives reports from the spot. This is one of the live reports.
