Understanding Love, a pilot project in middle schools
Raffaella De Simone, a gynecologist and sexual consultant, leads a pilot project called 'Understanding Love' focused on affective and sexual education in southern schools, starting in January at two middle schools in Ercolano. The project, supported by the young headteacher Fabiana Esposito and the Ercolano administration, includes 11 meetings and is based on the World Health Organization's guidelines. It aims to develop students' personal resources and help them manage emotions and relationships, catering also to those with challenging family backgrounds, disabilities, and experiences with bullying. The project concludes on May 6 with an event featuring a video by journalist Simona Petricciuolo and peer-to-peer education, highlighting the success of the initiative.
