The specter of drought threatens 'Morocco 2030'.. and 'the nuclear option' is a possible choice
Morocco faces a looming drought crisis that threatens its water sovereignty, with impacts on agriculture and the potential for water scarcity in various regions. The government's emergency measures, including desalination projects using nuclear energy and well drilling, are deemed necessary by university professor Faisal Aziz. The reliance on surface water stored in dams is precarious due to climate change and insufficient rainfall. Desalination, potentially powered by solar or nuclear energy, is seen as a sustainable solution. The urgency is underscored by the prediction that by 2030, Morocco could lose approximately one billion cubic meters of water, highlighting the need for immediate action in cities like Agadir and Casablanca to prevent a crisis.

Datamaroc - 'Fake News Put to the Test of Facts'
In Morocco, as in other parts of the world, the fight against Covid-19 poses multiple challenges for journalism, including the spread of fake news and misinformation. Data journalism has emerged as a solution to manage and analyze the vast amounts of information, making it accessible to the public through effective visualization. Deutsche Welle Akademie has launched a series of training sessions titled 'Fake News Put to the Test of Facts' for journalists and programmers in Morocco. This site serves as an extension of the project, offering tutorials, debate sessions, practical guides, and reports by participants.
