Operation Not Forgotten: Remembering Our Friend Jim

04 May 2024  |  www.thedallasnewera.com
Jim, a veteran who served in the Army and Marines, sought help for emotional trauma through Operation Not Forgotten's Vet Life Communities after finding no suitable programs at the VA or the American Legion. He played a pivotal role in establishing the Paulding Vet Life Community, which held its first meeting in spring 2017. Jim's involvement in the program significantly benefited him and his family. Despite his mental and emotional growth, Jim succumbed to physical complications from his service on March 6. The Paulding Vet Life Community honors Jim's legacy and the impact he had on establishing the community and improving the support materials. Operation Not Forgotten continues to support veterans and their families through peer-based support meetings.
