Tanya Diaz-Velazco is a freelance photographer, writer and journalist, based in Miami, Florida. Her project on abandoned buildings has been featured on local American news and national Spanish TV news shows. She has been commissioned to write a photo book, on the history of Abandoned Miami, which is coming out next year. She has happily been teaching photography at MDC for 6 years, and loves it. She has been investigating stories, for fun, about different subjects, for a few years and is ready to work as a photographer, writer, researcher or journalist.
