Mutsvanga, Zamuchiya scoop top ZimRights awards

Journalist Terry Mutsvanga and filmmaker Kumbulani Zamuchiya have been recognized by the Zimbabwe Human Rights Association for their work on the documentary film 'Dhamu: Voices from the Tent.' Mutsvanga received the Outstanding Journalist Award for 2014, and the film won the best documentary of the year, with Zamuchiya being honored for his direction. The film highlights the human rights issues faced by the people of Chingwizi following their forced eviction due to the construction of a dam. The awards ceremony was to take place in Bulawayo. The film and the awards aim to shed light on the struggles of the displaced villagers, including lack of food and healthcare.
