Óscar Orté de Almeida Medeiros was born in São Tomé and Príncipe on December 10, 1968. He has Portuguese and Santomean nationality, is married and currently lives on the island of São Tomé. Education: Journalism (Bachelor). Schooling: 12th Grade. A journalist with over 34 years of experience, he Read morebegan his career in 1989 at the Santomean Television (TVS). He joined the Radio and Television of Portugal – African Delegation (RTP) in 1997. Since 1999 he has been a correspondent for Portuguese Broadcasting Radio (RDP). From 2005, he is correspondent for Voice Of America (VOA).
