Buasawan Simmala is an international multimedia journalist in Lao Service, VOA, where she writes and hosts a variety of radio programs, including Daily News, Diaspora, Lao Community, Health, Technology, and Education etc... Simmala also designs/adapts English lessons for jointly broadcasting with Read moreLao National Radio in Vientiane, Laos as well as for Lao Service’s Radio program. She joined VOA in two periods: The first period was in 2009-2013 when she translated, adapted and voiced a variety of radio broadcasting materials; and the second time was in 2017 until present. Between 2015-2016, Simmala was the Communication Manager for a USAID project in Laos, where was in charge of providing USAID Regional Development Mission in Thailand with press releases, tweets, success stories, bi-weekly reports etc. of economic growth and trade activities under the project. Prior to that, she was the Manager of Communication and Knowledge Management Department of the Mekong sub-regional inter-governmental organization, Mekong Institute, Thailand, where she severed as the edior and manager for her multi-national staff in writing quarterly journals, press releases on variety of topics, namely agriculture, environment, trade, and education, etc. She was also charged with managing the website for promoting the organization’s visibility. Under Fulbright Program, Simmala graduated from George Mason University with Master of Arts in International Commerce and Public Policy and holds a Ph.D. in Adult Education with specializing in second language acquisition.

Vansanaphon VONGXAYNHA or Maxie, a graduated student in management from Vientiane capital, Lao P.D.R. After graduating from high school, His friends and him have founded "Langkorng" (Lao for “Behind the camera”), a Lao photographers club, which is the biggest photography community in Laos at the Read morepresent. The main purpose of "Langkorng" is to create local charity through photography and arts. Since 2010, Maxie has being served as the Managing Director for "Langkorng" and succeeded cooperation with numerous organizations and companies including the Lao Journalist Association, French Institute or Lao-Singapore Friendship Club. His team have organized many  workshops for Lao youth photographers, photo exhibitions, and projects for supporting the society in both in Vientiane and rural areas in Laos.

The latter brought "Langkorng" accreditation and support by the U.S. Embassy to organize workshop and exhibitions for Lao journalists from twelve newspapers around Laos. And has been supported by the Canada Fund to organize awareness raising project about human-trafficking for 10,000 children through photography, arts and activities, in 2015 to 2016.

Besides working with "Langkorng" and working as a photographer for TripAdvisor in Japan since 2016, Maxie has also done many volunteering activities such as being a volunteer for Lao Red Cross, 22nd SEAGAMES, Charity events, etc. Back in May 2012, He had founded his own production team, named "UNBORDER" .With the purpose of giving inspiration, empower people and society in Laos, Maxie and his team had been travelling and filming documentary-traveling video proram in Asia.
