Salah Malkawi is an esteemed photojournalist based in Amman, Jordan, with over two decades of experience in capturing compelling stories across the Middle East. His work, which often sheds light on social issues, focuses on the struggles of individuals within their communities, particularly those Read moregrappling with poverty and debt. One of his notable pieces features the story of Sanaa, a woman toiling in the Northern Jordan Valley to support her children amidst her husband's incarceration for debts.

Throughout his career, Malkawi has contributed to some of the world's most prestigious international publications, including The New York Times, The Times, The Guardian, Der Spiegel, Stern, and The National. His assignments have taken him to numerous countries such as Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, and Russia, where he has documented top news events, humanitarian issues, refugee crises, and environmental concerns.

A contracted contributor for Getty Images, Malkawi's photographs have also supported the work of various government and non-governmental organizations, including the European Union, the United Nations, UNICEF, and the World Food Programme. Aaron Weintraub graduated from the University of Oregon in 2017 with a BA in Journalism and Arabic. After graduation, he moved to Amman, Jordan to continue studying Arabic and began working as a videographer and communications specialist in the NGO sector. He personally owns and primarily uses a Canon Legria HF G40, as well as a Canon 6D and T3 DSLR, for shooting. For audio he owns a Blue Yeti Microphone, an accompanying Lefon USB microphone for dual recording as well as a Rode Camera Mount Shotgun and basic lavalier microphone for a-roll/soundbites.
